WLC Carers Awards 2025
At WeLoveCarers, we aim to shine a light on the invisible work of unpaid carers - the support, advocacy, and care that they provide to those around them. That is why, in 2023, we began our annual Carers Awards. This event seeks to provide recognition for carers, as well as professionals, who contribute far beyond their given responsibilities, all of which highlights the importance of community and interconnected care.
Every year, we host representatives across the local authority, council, and health services in a commitment to support carers and all that they do. Their presence at the Awards broadcasts a strong message that caring is valued and recognised, not just interpersonally, but on an institutional level.
As a charity, it has been an honour to watch carers of all kinds receive the appreciation that they deserve. When the Local Authority and Health professionals take time to attend these events, it helps to bridge the gap between policy and lived experience, leading to a better understanding of what can be achieved when we combine the two.
We would like to give a special thank you to: The Mayor of Dudley; Simon Foster, the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner; Brody Swain as our MC; East Meets West for their catering; George for his fantastic photos; and the prize givers.
Most importantly, congratulations to all of the award winners for their dedication and hard work!
