About Us

Do you provide unpaid care for a friend of loved one?

If so we are here for you

We started in 2009 as a support group and in 2012 became a charity.

We exist to give the thousands of unpaid carers like yourself throughout the borough of Dudley the support, information and advice you need to take control of your lives and live it to the maximum whether you are a carer of disabled children or carers of an adult.

WeLoveCarers is a charity run by carers for carers. We focus on the carer, filling in gaps and working hard to empower them so they can lead the happiest, most rewarding and fulfilling lives whilst reaching their full potential. This will help you as a carer to be an effective carer for the people you love and look after, be involved in decisions and making choices that affect their lives.

Many carers are isolated and don’t know where to turn for help. WeLoveCarers aims to change that for carers within the Dudley borough

The majority of organisations are predominantly for the person with the disability and focus on certain areas. WeLoveCarers exist to reduce carer isolation, ensuring you have access to the support you need, enabling you to fulfil your caring role and achieve your full potential.

We will do this by focusing on three key areas; information, support and advice.

Our aim is to empower carers and their families by ensuring they have access to all the information they require. Caring can be a lonely role and many carers don’t know what help is available to them. We aim to help change that.

We want to engage with carers and their families to ensure that our services are representative of their needs and they have access to the support that they are entitled to.
Everyone should have the support they require, regardless of their circumstances.

WeLoveCarers wants to reduce the isolation of carers and their families. Sometimes all the carer needs is someone to listen to their problems.
Other times their views might need to represented to external bodies and WeLoveCarers will present them on behalf of the carer.

Our promise to you…

It is our promise to you as a carer we will do everything we can to support you with your caring role and treat you with dignity, respect and compassion that you deserve.

We promise to do what we say, to always be honest, open and to make sure you have the information you need to lead the most fulfilling and rewarding life.
